Top SA broadband suburbs

The latest Speedtest.net statistics reveal that Sandton, Fietas and Kingsmead have the highest average broadband speed in South Africa.

According to the Net Index website, which uses data from millions of recent test results from Speedtest.net, Sandton’s broadband users enjoy an average broadband speed of 5.99Mbps. This is well above the national average of 3.21Mbps.

Sandton’s high average broadband speed is not surprising considering that many businesses in the area are served by high speed fibre and 10Mbps ADSL connections. High speed broadband connections in the area, including MTN’s LTE trial users, further drive up the average speed.
