The Protection of Personal Information Act will requireevery public and private body tocomply with the eight principles that prescribe the minimum threshold requirements for lawful processing of personal information in South Africa and for the public or private body to be mindful of the rights and remedies of persons to protect their personal information from processing that is not in accordance with this Act.
