Job: Director: ICT Enterprise and Management Support Services

Job Description

The successful candidate will manage, oversee and review all legal technology issues across the organisation. Th is includes providing objective assessments of the company's compliance with legislation governing its Information Communications Technology systems and industry-specific regulations.

He/she will also direct the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the organisation's practices remain observant of all pertinent local, provincial and national ICT-related laws.

In addition, he/she will provide the ICTM with a strategic support service in terms of departmental finance and logistics as well as business planning by interfacing and consolidating required information from Group-/COJ-/ME-wide sources to permit a balanced decision-making portfolio of information through consultation with high-level players.

Educational requirements and experience:

A university degree in the field of law, computers, or Business Management/Administration.
A graduate degree or certificate in one of these fields will be preferred�
A certificate in Systems Audit (ISACA, IIASA, etc)
3-5 years' experience in managing compliance assessments within a corporate setting�
5 years' experience working in the ICT industry, preferably in Local Government�
Proven experience in developing and submitting audit and compliance reports to governing bodies, legal entities and/or external authorities
Experience in planning, organising and developing Information Technology policies, procedures and practices�
Direct experience in and knowledge of local and federal Information Technology laws, including governance guidelines such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC, etc.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), particularly with Government/legal agencies. Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving compliance issues.
Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including Information Security, Encryption Methods and privacy-based solutions.
General knowledge of business theory, business process management, budgeting and business office operations, especially in a Local Government setting.
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and outsourced systems, including SAp, CCMS, LIS, GIS, etc
An understanding of computer systems and integration capabilities
Excellent understanding of project management principles
Superior understanding of the organisation's goals and objectives.
